Diamond Construction Shines in Hernando Parade of Homes with Five Awards for
the Ruby II

SPRING HILL—The judges didn’t miss the Ruby II’s sparkle in this year’s Hernando Builders Association Parade of Homes. The model, located at Spring Hill Drive and Fentress Court in Spring Hill and built by Diamond Construction, cornered its category taking Best Elevation, Best Floor Plan, Most Creative, Best Kitchen, and tying for Best Overall Quality.

The Ruby II is Diamond Construction’s first model entered into the Parade, and visitors to the model won’t be disappointed. The model reflects the Craftsman style in every facet, from the textured columns to the variety of materials used to create the look of the Ruby II. The open kitchen with its maple cabinetry and granite countertops is an inviting space designed for entertaining. The oversized island makes it functional and anchors the open kitchen. The Mohawk wood flooring throughout the core of the home ties the floor plans elements together. The three-bedroom, two-bath Ruby II feels larger than its 2105 square feet due to the elevation, ceiling heights,  and details in the moldings.

“The door casings and high-level detailing in the trim are things we are very proud of,” said Brian Blankenship, president of Diamond Construction. “The model has a feeling of quality, character, and class that you have to experience to appreciate.”

The 2007 Parade is Diamond Construction’s first entry according to Blankenship. He envisioned the Ruby II’s craftsman look as a refreshing break from the Mediterranean style so pervasive in Florida homes. Diamond, a true custom home builder, builds both in communities and on-your-lot so flexibility and service are keys to their success. The Ruby II is one of five models offered by Diamond, or customers can bring their own plans and vision for building.

Blankenship isn’t new to the construction business, having spent many years in his family’s plumbing and air conditioning business after graduating from St. Leo University. This is his company’s first model and first entry into the parade of homes, but Diamond Construction is making its mark on the Pasco and Hernando marketplace with its unique floor plans and fresh approach to building single family homes.
